For a while now, the emergence of Vietnam’s game industry has left a mark on the global gaming scene, and with that comes scrutiny. Copyright issues have become a formidable issue for not just the local game industry but in the local entertainment sphere as a whole.

Legal self-defense and in certain cases, offense, are now a requirement for studios to safeguard thousands of man-hours and spent resources from being invalidated on the global scene.

With the hope to instill a culture of legal awareness for Vietnam’s game makers, GameGeek, together with experts from LNN, a legal consulting firm, and Sconnect, a leading multi-channel network on Youtube, joined forces to host a workshop named “Safeguarding Revenue through International Intellectual Property Protection in the Gaming Industry”. 

Workshop has provided a comprehensive guide covering fundamental concepts, intellectual property asset classification, and specific case studies, equipping participants with the essential legal tools to safeguard their products on a global scale.

Keynote speakers Ms. Quynh Pham - CEO of LNN Entertainment and Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang - Copyright Business Director at WOA Universal, shared invaluable insights and strategies to protect revenue, rights, and ensure sustainable development for Vietnamese gaming products.

With warm reception from leading industry partners, the event  was a resounding success! It marks the beginning of a long-term effort and strategic partnership between GameGeek, LNN and Sconnect for Vietnamese content creators to have a better footing reaching out to overseas audiences.
