HANOI, OCTOBER 28, 2025 – Airwallex, a leading global financial and payments platform, has officially announced a strategic partnership with GameGeek, the central hub for Vietnam’s gaming ecosystem. This collaboration aims to propel the Vietnamese gaming industry toward international expansion and global recognition.
As Vietnam cements its position as a global leader in game downloads with a market size projected to surpass $3 billion - the partnership between Airwallex and GameGeek is expected to deliver significant value, helping Vietnamese studios scale internationally and fully capitalize on the booming mobile gaming potential.
3 Strategic Pillars of Collaboration:
- In-depth Content Development: Sharing case studies, insights, and industry growth strategies from top experts to help Vietnamese studios stay ahead of global trends. Notably, in December 2025, the two parties will launch a specialized mobile gaming magazine, providing the community with the latest industry updates and trend analysis.
- Joint Gaming Events & Programs: Implementing sharing sessions, training workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities for founders and development teams. Most notably in 2026, Airwallex will join GameGeek in launching the “Gaming Accelerator” - a series of intensive training and networking programs designed to help studio founders innovate and access international resources.
- Driving Industry Growth & Global Expansion: Leveraging GameGeek’s strategic ecosystem and Airwallex’s global payments infrastructure to support publishing, M&A, and international revenue optimization for Vietnamese gaming studios.
Despite Vietnam’s gaming industry generating over $1 billion in 2024 with 30% growth in advertising, the sector still faces challenges regarding gameplay depth and the gap between top-tier studios and emerging players.
According to Ms. Jennifer Vu – CEO of GameGeek: "These challenges cannot be solved through isolated efforts. What the Vietnamese gaming industry needs is a connected ecosystem where developers can share knowledge, resources, and opportunities to grow together."
